Prenatal: a consultation during your pregnancy

During this at-home consultation, I provide extensive information about breastfeeding and answer all your questions. The rate for a one-hour consultation during your pregnancy is €85. Travel costs for consultations in Almere are included in the price; outside of Almere, travel costs are €0.25 per kilometer, calculated based on zip code 1328 RB using Google Maps.

First consultation after birth

Together, we will discuss your situation and needs. During the consultation, I will observe the latching and feeding of the baby and make any necessary adjustments. I will assess the baby’s mouth anatomy and perform a breast examination if necessary. You will receive a full report of the consultation, including extensive advice and relevant information. The rate for a one-and-a-half-hour consultation is €125. Follow-up contact via WhatsApp for the next 3 weeks is included. Travel costs for consultations in Almere are included in the price; outside of Almere, travel costs are €0.25 per kilometer, calculated based on zip code 1328 RB using Google Maps.

Follow-up consultations

If you would like me to observe you and your baby again after the first consultation, that is certainly possible. The rate for a one-hour follow-up consultation is €80.

Digital or telephone consultation

The rate for a digital or telephone consultation is €17.50 per 15 minutes (no maximum duration).

Payment

After the consultation, you will receive a digital invoice with a payment term of 7 days.

Insurance reimbursement

Check with your healthcare provider to see if the costs of a lactation consultant can be reimbursed. Reimbursement is only possible if the consultation is provided by a certified (IBCLC) lactation consultant who is a member of the NVL (Nederlandse Vereniging van Lactatiekundigen, the Dutch Association of Lactation Consultants).
